Our next theme is going to be growing and changing! We thought what a better way to talk about how we grow and change was to make our dramatic play center into a birthday party center!
The children will write invitations, make balloons and cupcakes, create games, and presents! What we are asking you, if you have any old party supplies that you would be willing to donate to us, we would greatly appreciate it! We are looking for: decorations, hats, napkins, cups, plates, banners, balloons, gift bags, present boxes, wrapping paper, candles, streamers, etc! Thank you in advance!

Our dramatic play is currently an auto shop!
The children have different roles, a mechanic, receptionist, and a customer. We talked for a while about what mechanics do and we even watched some Youtube videos! They make appointments, fill out sheets about what is wrong with their car, and the mechanic fills out an repair report about what they did. They repair the car using tools, oil, fluids, funnels, etc. They really loved this center and they helped a lot this time with putting it all together and writing signs and everything! So proud of them! We plan on celebrating Easter on the Friday before break! We will hunt for eggs, color our own, and have a little treat!
If you would be interested in sending in a treat for the class, please email me to let me know! Thank you very much! Just dropping in to let you know of what is going on in our classroom and school over the next two weeks before break!
Our letter of the week this week is Rr, and next week it will be Ee. Please continue to practice your letters at home, as we have been working super hard in the classroom! I am so proud of these guys! Next week Wednesday, there is no school, and Friday is our last day before Easter break! With the weather warming up, please remember sneakers are the best, especially when it gets nice enough to go out on the playground! Also if your child is sick, please make sure to send them in an excuse of absence. Thank you so much for all you do to help make our classroom as wonderful as it is! We celebrated the first day of Spring last week! We chatted all about Spring and the changes we would soon start to notice! Ou dramatic play is now an auto shop! The kids love working on the car!! Here are some photos of our fun before and after break!
We have been talking about Dental Health! We pretended to floss our teeth, brushed our teeth white with paint, and practiced brushing our big set of teeth! Wednesday next week is our Christmas Pageant at 1 o'clock at St. Martin's Church! It will be a normal school day for the children and we will walk them all over! Please NO backpacks on this day, if they need to bring a lunch box we will bring that over to Church with us so they can take it home! Children will all be dismissed right from Church! Thursday is a HALF day and will be PAJAMA DAY! The children can come to school in their jammies, but NO robes, slippers, or footie pajamas! I got locked out of my account, so that is why I have not been able to post on here! So here is a photo dump of everything we have been doing in our classroom!
We had such a busy week working on our Thanksgiving fun! We did turkey patterns, food beginning sounds, and worked hard on our letters and numbers! We have also been talking all week about the different types of weather and the four seasons! We are getting really good at telling the difference between the two!

Monday we learned why we had off on Tuesday and we talked all about Election Day and how we vote! We read Duck for President, and talked about what we would do if we were President.
We also had our own vote of our favorite class animal, the cat won! We will be going on our first field trip to Explore N More on Tuesday November 29th!
